Barbara Jean (Hartley) Dodd

Barbara Jean (Hartley) Dodd, age 77 of Columbia, TN passed away January 20, 2023 with her husband, son, and family by her side. She attended College Grove Church of Christ. Jean was born in Franklin, TN to the late Marvin Hartley and Irene (Childress) Hartley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Bryan Dodd; brothers, Billy Hartley and Frank Hartley. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bryan Nelson Dodd; son, Gregory Nelson Dodd and his wife Wednesday (Watts) Dodd; grandson, Jacob Nelson Dodd; sister Lucile (Hartley) Woodside. The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Ed Slayton officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00PM-8:00PM Monday, January 23, 2023 and one hour prior to the service. Active pallbearers are Benjamin Hartley, Jerry Ladd, Jr., Mike Woodside, Earl Dodd, Jr., Bryan Dodd, and Paul King. Honorary pallbearers are members of College Grove Church of Christ. Burial will take place after the service in Williamson Memorial Gardens. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or College Grove Church of Christ.
