Bonnie Jean Borthwick

Bonnie Jean Borthwick, 86, died on May 10, 2014 at her home in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband of 64 years at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruth Hay and her brother, Warren Hay.
She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 1, 1927 and lived most of her early years in Saginaw, Michigan. She made her profession of faith and was baptized in the First Presbyterian church in Saginaw. She met Murray in 1947 and they were married on June 18, 1949. They moved to Roseville, Michigan in 1951.
She taught third grade Sunday School, worked in VBS, and planned Missions with the Women's Association. She was active in the community library, Girl Scouts, Meals on Wheels and ministry to the poor and hungry.
When Murray retired from Chrysler in 1987 they became "snow birds" from Michigan to Central Florida for six months every year living in the Citrus Ridge mobile home park near Haines City, Florida. Through the years they maintained their church membership in the Lakeshore Presbyterian Church in St. Clair Shores, Michigan and the First Presbyterian Church in Haines City, Florida.
In 2005, they moved to Franklin, Tennessee and became members of ClearView Baptist Church.
