Dorothy Dena Harris

Dorothy Dena Harris, at the age of 95, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away on September 10, 2025 in Bradenton, FL. 

Dorothy was born in Nashville, TN to Thomas and Jimmy Mackie on July 13, 1930. She attended Central High School in Nashville. She married Paul Benton Harris on October 22, 1949 in Nashville. She worked as a Bank Teller for First American Bank for 22 years. She attended Una, Concord and Spring Meadows Church of Christ. 

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Paul Benton Harris, sisters Margaret (Peggy) Wooley, Sara Jean Jackson, and brother Thomas Mackie. 

Dorothy is survived by children Deborah (Don) Riehm, James (Jim) (Glenda) Harris, Teresa (Sam) Netterville, Paul (Lucy) Harris; grandchildren Michelle, Megan (Matthew Bilson), Margeaux, and Madalyn Riehm, Brittany (Kevan Elkins), and Jennifer Harris, Jacob (Andrea) and Ashley Netterville, Christopher and Quinn Harris; two great-granddaughters Elizabeth Mae Elkins and Isabella Dorothy Bilson; brother David Mackie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16th from 5-7 pm and Wednesday, September 17th from 12-1 pm at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 at the same location. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 2:30. 

Pallbearers will be Christopher Harris, Jacob Netterville, Quinn Harris, Kevan Elkins, Matthew Bilson, David Wooley, Doug Jackson, and David Jackson. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to The Lupus Foundation or St. Jude’s.
