Obituary

Elizabeth Suzanne “Susie” Lanier Boone, age 66 of Franklin, TN passed away August 15, 2026. She was a native of Williamson County and graduated from Franklin High School. She received her Bachelors Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She retired as Court Clerk with the Williamson County Court Clerk’s office with 20+ years of service. Susie was extremely creative and talented with hand painted items. She loved animals, especially cats. Her kind spirit will be missed by all. Preceded in death by parents, James Roth, Jr. and Lillian Marie Brown Lanier and brother-in-law, Charles Earl Gore, Sr. Survived by: daughter, Brittany (Mark) Somers; grandson, Koa Blue Somers; brothers, James Roth, III “Bo” (Sandi) Lanier and Charles R. “Chuck” Lanier; sister, Sharon Lanier Gore; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Joni Mattingly and other loving family members. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mark Somers, Koa Blue Somers, Bo Lanier, Chuck Lanier, Chad Gore, Tim Mattingly, John Ferguson and Johnny Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be the YaYa Sisters. Memorials may be made to Friends of Williamson County Animal Center or Franklin First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4:00PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
