George Lamb, Sr.

George Boyd Lamb, Sr. age 74 passed away March 22, 2018. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Long time farmer & truck driver. He was an avid reader, loved NASCAR racing & tractor pulls and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to rodeos. Preceded in death by parents, George Walter & Sarah Elizabeth Boyd Lamb. Survived by wife of 51 years, Alice Sue Lamb; sons, George (Karen) Lamb & Tommy (Wendi) Lamb; daughters, Tandie (Thurston) Moore & Regina (Darrell) Turnage; grandchildren, Courtney & Kayla Moore, Taylor & Jordan Turnage, Daniel, Sydney, Sam & Henry Lamb. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gene Rucker & Carroll B. McGarity officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Chuck Hooper, Danny Bennett, Butch Boyd, Bernis Ewing, Jamie Beasley & Trey Belton. Honorary pallbearers: Larry Goodman, Charles Scales, Urban Scales, Dan Pierce, Robert Paragin, Lonnie Porter, Carroll B. McGarity & William Roberts.
