Georgette Kozuch Arena

Georgette Kozuch Arena, 62, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on July 19, 2026, alongside her devoted and loving partner, Stephen Lindstrom. While her loss leaves an immeasurable hole in the lives of those who loved her, Georgette will be remembered for the joy, laughter, kindness, and genuine warmth she brought to the people around her.

Georgette was born on December 20, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to George and Helen Kozuch, both of whom preceded her in death. A proud and devoted mother, she is survived by her daughters, Megan Arena of Austin, Texas, and Emily Arena of San Diego, California.

She is also lovingly remembered by her stepdaughters, Stephanie Lindstrom Herndon and Cynthia Lindstrom Marich, and her cherished grandchildren, Graeme and Aaron Marich.

Georgette was the second youngest of seven siblings. She is survived by Linda Musser of Pompano Beach, Florida; Chuck Cote of De Forest, Wisconsin; Kathy Utech of Marquette Heights, Illinois; and Kim Kolettis of Dunlap, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Merry Hofer of Chicago, Illinois, and Sandra Thomson of Florida.

Georgette lived with a sense of adventure and an unmistakable spirit of wanderlust. She loved to travel with Steve, eager to see somewhere new, experience something different, and make memories along the way. She was a voracious reader, endlessly curious, and always ready to lose herself in a good book. She carried herself with confidence, had a sharp wit, and found humor in the unexpected.

Georgette embraced an active, healthy life and loved yoga, not only for the practice itself but for the friendships and sense of connection it brought her. She was also a devoted pet mom, and her beloved dogs, Marley and Rocky, held a very special place in her heart. They preceded her in death, but their place in her life—and in her stories—was never forgotten.

Professionally, Georgette was widely respected throughout the greater Nashville legal community for her talent, dedication, and years of work as a court reporter. Beyond work, she gave her time and heart to her community, volunteering with CASA and other organizations close to her heart.

Those who knew Georgette will remember her as someone who was hard to miss and even harder to forget. She was outgoing, warm, and genuinely interested in the people around her. She cared deeply for her family and friends, had a gift for making lasting connections, and left the world a little brighter, funnier, and more interesting simply by being in it.

Georgette's family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support shown by her friends and the greater Nashville community during this incredibly difficult time. The many stories, memories, and acts of kindness shared in her honor are a testament to the lasting impression she made on so many lives.
