Gerald Francis Palys

Gerald “Jerry” Francis Palys, age 73, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on November 14, 2025, with his devoted wife by his side.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry was the son of the late Chester A. and Frances Michalski Palys. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church and lived his life grounded in gratitude, kindness, and unwavering optimism.

Jerry was a proud patent holder for a construction product in the flooring industry, a testament to his creativity and hard work. He enjoyed golfing and was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially loyal to his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. More than anything, he cherished his family. He adored his grandchildren, filled every room with a smile, and was known for his laughter, positivity, and warm spirit, even throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Palys.

Those left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his beloved wife of 51 years, Janice Palys; sons, Kevin Palys (Berenika), and Ryan Palys; daughter, Lauren Lee (Ryan); brother, Greg Palys; and grandchildren, Alexandra Palys, Frederick Palys, and Brockton Lee.

The care of Gerald “Jerry” Francis Palys and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
