Gerlene Sullivan Turman

Mrs. Gerlene S. Turman, age 97 of Primm Springs, TN passed away July 26, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Williamson County, TN. Born to the late Mosie D. Sullivan & Fannie Walker Sullivan. She worked at Werthan Bag Company as a seamstress in her early years before starting her family. Gerlene was married to the late Vester Turman for almost 60 years. Vester and Gerlene enjoyed attending their children and grandchildren’s sporting events together. Gerlene enjoyed attending Vester’s bluegrass band, Pinewood Ramblers performances. She was a very hard worker and supporter of her family. Together with Vester and her children, she tended the garden and worked the family farm. She enjoyed volunteering with her children’s schools as well as helping take care of her grandchildren. Gerlene is preceded in death by her husband, Vester Turman; brothers, Adolph Sullivan, Douglas Sullivan, Arnold Sullivan and Amons Sullivan; sister, Alma Sullivan. She is survived by her daughters, Bonita Smith and Diane Turman; grandchildren, Corbin Smith and Tori (Landon) Morel; great grandchildren, Sawyer & Colter Morel and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Carolyn & Starr. As well as the staff of Accent Care. Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, July 29, 2025 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Jim Taylor will officiate.
