Howard William Clayton, age 85, passed away surrounded by family on June 24, 2026 at NHC Franklin. A native of Holly Springs, South Carolina , he was the son of the late Claude Clayton and Geneve Burnette Clayton, and the brother of late Jasper Clayton and Roy Clayton. He was the widower of Judith Rector "Judy" Clayton.

Surviving are two children, Brent Clayton and Lisa Clayton, both of Franklin, one granddaughter Judy Grace Clayton, his pride and joy as her "PA."

Graveside Services will be conducted on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at  Williamson Memorial Gardens.
