James "Jay" William Terry Flatt

James William Terry Flatt, “Jay”, age 66, passed from this life on July 27, 2024. Jay was born and raised in Nashville, TN, to Mack Dean Flatt Jr. and Deanna June Davis.

Jay graduated McGavock High School and then began a 30 year career in cosmetology and also real estate. Jay loved music and was in a band where he played bass guitar. He loved playing golf and poker, his dog “Harley”, and restoring old cars. He could build or fix anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Jay married Chipley, FL native Tonja Holland Barron in 2022 and moved south to Chipley to build a beautiful life together, gaining wonderful in-laws that he loved dearly.

Jay is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his loving wife Tonja (Holland) Flatt, his father, Mack Dean Flatt Jr and stepmother Linda, his brother, Jeff Flatt, two step sisters, Heather Hollabaugh Markum, Lorie Hollabaugh, three nieces, Kaitlyn Flatt, Jamie Dunn Flatt, Mackenzie Wilder, one great niece, Madison Frazer and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held 4:00PM-6:00PM Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN 37064.
