Jean was a kind, loving wife, mother and teacher. She taught in various schools in East Tennessee for 35 years. She especially enjoyed teaching science. Her students and grandchildren alike loved her inventive science experiments. She was an avid gardener who never saw a spot that couldn’t be improved with a flower. She spent countless happy hours on the many boats she and her husband enjoyed. They boated up and down the east coast and into Canada. She also made the best crescent rolls in the world. Her daughter in law Beth tried to copy them for years before admitting they couldn’t be duplicated. She lived a life full of fun and family.

Our family wishes to express our great appreciation for all the caregivers and staff at Somerfield Health Center in Brentwood for their outstanding love and compassionate care when Jean’s health deteriorated. We truly cannot thank you enough.

A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
