Jennifer Rose Thomas (Grammie), born on February 5, 1954, in Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jennifer was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Jennifer and her husband Dale were in love and married for the last 50 years. She dedicated her life to raising her three boys and made sure that they always had everything that they needed. She loved her girl time with her daughters-in-law and cherished her role as Grammie to her two wonderful grandsons.
Jennifer was always there for everyone. She never met a stranger, and her home was open to all. Her free time was filled with volunteering at various charitable organizations such as the Junior Auxiliary, President of the BGA Wildcat Club, Meals on Wheels and countless others. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, bunco groups, and Tuesdays at Club Mona.
A proud blood and organ donor. Jennifer’s legacy will continue to live on through the donation of her organs to a few individuals. A testament to her unwavering generosity and compassion.
Jennifer leaves behind her beloved husband of 50 years, Dale Thomas, along with their cherished sons: Brent (Randi) Thomas, David Thomas, and Ryan (Kathleen) Thomas. Her grandchildren, Collins and Jack Thomas, were also an immense source of joy in her life. She is survived by her brothers, Greg (Karen) Collins, Tim Collins, Charles (Nancy) Collins and her sisters, Lucy (Scott) Graham and Bernadette Glasco.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Collins, and her dear sister, Anna Higgins.
A visitation will be held in her honor on August 1, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN 37064. The funeral service will follow the visitation, commencing at 2:30 PM and concluding at 3:30 PM on the same day.
Jennifer will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her warmth and kindness. Her legacy of love and service will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
