John David Haas, Jr., age 57, passed away on August 28, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1967, and lived a life marked by love for his family, dedication to his work, and kindness toward all who knew him.
John’s greatest joys were his children, whom he cherished deeply—his son, Taylor Fredrick Haas, and his daughter, Isabella Adelaide Haas. He was a proud and devoted father, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lois J. Haas, and his grandparents, Fred and Margie Neville and Williams and Laura Haas. He is survived by his children and their mother, Kelli Haas; his father, John David (Dave) Haas, Sr.; his brother, Jeff Haas; his sister, Jane Alverson; his nieces, Brittney (Hans) Baltzly, Stephanie (Jason) Chin, nephew, Hunter (Javen) Haas; and Andi Watts.
A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, John built a distinguished career as a land planning architect, where his creativity and vision left a lasting impact on the communities he served. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He found deep fulfillment in his work, balancing his professional accomplishments with his devotion to his family.
Known for his warmth, integrity, and unwavering loyalty, John was a great man loved by many. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of John’s life will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 4:00pm at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, Tennessee with visitation beginning at 3:00pm immediately preceding the service. A private burial will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John’s name to Nashville Tree Foundation (nashvilletreefoundation.org)
