Jonathan David Madera, age 44, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Bruno Rafael Madera and Elizabeth Gomez. He moved to Franklin in 2005, and it had been his home ever since. He loved spending time outdoors and going roller skating with his children. He loved to draw. He loved to do home improvements to his house and always had a project to work on. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He was always ready to discuss politics with anyone that would listen. He loved eating seafood, and crawfish was his favorite. Most of all his dearest treasure was his 4 children, who he deeply loved and took care of. He was deeply loved by his family and everyone that knew him. Johnathan was a great son, husband, father, and friend.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Aguilar; father, Bruno Madera; mother, Elizabeth Gomez; sons, Jonathan Merlin Madera (18), Jeshua Israel Madera (15), and Joseph Emmanuel Madera (10); daughter, Elizabeth Joanna Madera (7); sisters, Johanna Madera and Michelle Madera, and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rafael Gomez, Remigio Madera, Mercedes Torivio, and Mireya Guerrero.
A funeral service to honor Jonathan’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, as well as one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Jonathan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, creativity, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort in the days ahead.
