Joshua Stevan Townsend

Joshua Stevan Townsend, 27, of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away on August 11, 2024. Born on February 18, 1997, in Nashville, Josh was the beloved son of Stevan and Sheri Townsend. He was a proud graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy and Belmont University, where he earned his degree before embarking on a career as a Client Success Manager at Plow Networks.

Josh is survived by his loving family: his brother Seth Townsend and sister-in-law Sydney, his sister Jillian Townsend, and his parents Stevan and Sheri Townsend. He also leaves behind his grandparents Joe and Carol Townsend, James and Barbara Funderburg, and great Grand grandparent Ruby Bennett. as well as his uncle Trevan Townsend and uncle Tony Funderburg (wife Kay). Josh was also cherished by his cousins Adam Townsend, Grey Townsend, Kasey Funderburg, and Ashton Funderburg. Josh leaves behind his two beloved dogs Sailor & Gunner.

A visitation and celebration of Josh's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Rolling Hill Community Church, located at 1810 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission or the Nashville Humane Society, honoring Joshua’s compassionate spirit and his love for his community.

Josh will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
