Judith Ann Cartwright

Judith “Judy” Ann Young Cartwright, age 77, lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born with a gentle spirit and a heart full of kindness, Judy dedicated her life to caring for others. She was known for her deep love of flowers, her devotion to her family, and her joy in raising and nurturing children. Whether tending a garden, rocking a baby, or lending a hand to those in need, Judy’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory are her loving husband, Jimmy Cartwright Sr., children, Jimmy “Bubba” Cartwright Jr. (Mary), Michael Andrew “Andy” Cartwright (Lori), and Catherine “Cathy” Cartwright; grandchildren, Carrie Nikole Cartwright-Olson (Patrick), Christie Michelle Cartwright (Charlie), Leah Cartwright, Libby Cartwright, Jessica Casey, Justin Casey, and Mary Pierce; brothers, Jasper Young Jr., Jerry Young; and sisters, Shirley Polk and Rita Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Wauford and Dorothy Evelyn Williams Young and grandson, John Casey.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
