Katherine Stem Davis

Katherine L. Stem Davis, age 89, of Nolensville, Tennessee, passed away in Franklin, Tennessee on August 29, 2025.

A cherished member of her community, Katherine’s life was marked by warmth, resilience, and a deep love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that touched all who knew her.

Katherine was born in College Grove to Lera and Strickland Stem on June 20, 1936. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Davis; siblings, Alma Walton, Thomas Stem, Robert Stem, Hugh Stem, Eunice White, Margaret Robinson, Richard Stem, and Eugene Stem.

Katherine is survived by her children, Gene Reed, Leigh (Michael) Terns, and Lynn (Larry) Ballentine; sister, Roberta Taylor; brother, Charles Stem; grandchildren, Charli Reed Vaughan and Evan Terns; great grandson, Owen Reed Vaughan; stepchildren, Matt and Lynne Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williamson Memorial Gardens. A visitation with the family will begin at 12 Noon at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Evan Terns, Michael Terns, Larry Ballantine, Roger Cathey, Joey Taylor, Lane Taylor, Tim Marlin, and Todd Marlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Katherine’s name to Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church: 4930 Ash Hill Road, Spring Hill, TN. 37174; or to Alive Hospice: 1718 Patterson St, Nashville, TN 37203.
