Kathy Gail Simpson, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 72, in Franklin Tennessee. Born on December 15, 1952, in Jesup, Georgia, Kathy enriched the lives of those around her with her vibrant spirit and unyielding passion for life.

Kathy was a devoted wife to Bill Simpson, with whom she shared a profound bond that spanned 50 beautiful years. Their love story was a testament to commitment and companionship, marked by countless cherished moments and shared adventures. Her presence brought warmth and joy to Bill's life and the lives of all who knew her.

An avid gardener, Kathy had a deep appreciation for nature's beauty, often spending countless hours tending to her plants. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles, which allowed her to explore the open roads and create lasting memories. Kathy's love for traveling took her to many beautiful destinations, further broadening her horizons and enriching her experiences. In addition, she was known for her enthusiasm for shopping, always on the lookout for the next great find. She was known as an addicted shopper and friends who knew could view the trunk of car as a retail store. She had anything from clothes, shoes, and jewelry.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Bill Simpson; her nephew, Nick Varnadore of Placerville, Colorado; and her great nephew, Logan Simpson of Lexington, Tennessee. They will all remember her for her indomitable spirit and the joy she brought into their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Willie Dean Varnadore; her brother, Rayford Varnadore; and her niece, Brandi Varnadore Parker. The legacy of Kathy's kindness, zest for life, and beloved hobbies will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Kathy’s life, filled with love, laughter, and adventure, has left a lasting impact on her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all.
