Lela Jane Allen, age 92 of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away at her home on June 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Franklin, Tennessee, Lela was the daughter of James Hollis Martin and Telitha Louise Martin-Polk. She spent her entire life in the community she loved and was a faithful member of the Leiper’s Fork Church of Christ.
Lela will be remembered as one of the sweetest and kindest people anyone could ever know. She found joy in knitting and sewing and was a devoted fan of country music. She and her husband looked forward to spending Saturday nights together at the races at the Nashville Fairgrounds, creating many treasured memories. She also enjoyed watching western television shows and cherished the simple pleasures of life.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael “Mike” Allen; step-brother, Thomas Polk; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Allen and her siblings, Jimmie Cartwright, Dallas Pratt, Betty Reed and Janice Fortenberry.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, July 6, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Johnny Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Johnny Newcome, Calvin Reed, Casey Reed, Jason Reed, Corey Goodgine, Clay Goodgine and Jamie Bond. Visitation with the family will be 4:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, June 5, 2026 and one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alive Hospice.
