Linda Faye Carter, age 77, of Columbia, TN, passed away on August 29, 2026, in Nashville, TN.

Linda was born in Franklin, TN, to the late Clyde and Gladys Beasley. She was a feisty, funny, loving, and caring woman who never hesitated to tell you exactly how she felt. She was our Wonder Woman and brought laughter and joy to those around her.

Linda was a cosmetologist for 45 years in Williamson County, where she built many lasting friendships throughout her career. She loved dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Most of all, Linda will be remembered for her loving heart, her sense of humor, and the way she always kept things real.

She is survived by her children, Michael Carter, Sherry (Marvin Naramore, Jr.) Carter, and Amy (Bobby Cox) Jones; grandchildren, Brett Carter, Tracy Campbell, Jessica Carter, Eric Carter, Kelsey Land, Andrew Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, Issiah Jones, Noah Jones and Caleb Jones; nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Don Carter; children, Daniel Carter, Donna Land, and David Carter; grandchildren, Scott Carter and Seth Land.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Issiah Jones, Noah Jones, Caleb Jones, Andrew Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, and Eric Carter. Visitation with the family will be 4:00PM-8:00PM Wednesday, September 2, 2026 and 11:00AM-1:00PM prior to the service on Thursday.
