Lois Eileen Farrish

Lois Eileen Farrish, née Mattingly, passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on September 16, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, Lois was the beloved daughter of Reita and Robert Mattingly.

Lois is survived by her husband of over 60 years, John Farrish; her children, Lisa Landers and Ken Landers, and Katy Farrish; and her grandchildren, Mckenna Landers and Maggie Landers, and extended family. Being a grandparent was one of her greatest joys.

Throughout her career, Lois was a strong advocate for educators. One of her proudest accomplishments was her work with the teachers' unions in both Kentucky and Florida, where she spent years supporting teachers and public education.

Lois had a gift for sewing and was rarely happier than when she found time to sew. Friends and family also knew her love of tea, good conversation, and sharing her opinions. She was feisty, quick-witted, and known for having a memorable laugh.

She encouraged her children to appreciate the arts which she loved and to be creative in whatever they pursued.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her passion for education, her very strong grip, her creativity, and her love for her family.

She will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, October 20, 2026 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
