Marika Diane Catafygiotu - Obituary

Marika Diane Catafygiotu, age 67, departed this life on December 29,2021.   She was born in Smithfield, NC and was a resident of Rutherford County, TN.   She lived for years in Plainfield, IL and attended college at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL where she received degrees in education and psychology.

After graduation, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Plainfield, IL and at Cotton, Inc. in Raleigh, NC.      Marika was preceded in death by her father, John, Themis Catafygiotu.    She is survived by her mother, Atha Catafygiotu, sisters Catherine Bridges and Nicolette Catafygiotu, nephew Garrett Neimer and cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on a later date.
