Martha Lee Hoover, born on July 23, 1930, in Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, in her hometown. She was a cherished member of the community and a beloved family member known for her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.

As a devoted homemaker, Martha’s proudest accomplishment was raising her family with love and care. She instilled values that will be remembered for generations, and her impact on her loved ones will never fade. A member of the Fourth Ave Church of Christ, she drew strength from her faith and incorporated it into her daily life, touching the hearts of many through her kindness and spirit of service.

Martha enjoyed simple pleasures, including canning vegetables and working on puzzles, which brought her joy and satisfaction. She loved taking care of yard. She was a woman whose passions illustrated her nurturing nature and steadfast commitment to her family's well-being.

She is survived by her sons, Frank (Sandra) Hoover, John (Mary Alice) Hoover, and Barry (Vickie) Hoover. Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Daniel (Holly) Hoover, Kimberly (Will) Crankshaw, Chad (Kelsi) Hoover, and Brandon (Katlyn) Hoover. Martha was also a proud great-grandmother to Reese Crankshaw, Liam, Caden, Elijah, Marshall, Madison, Montana, and Matthew Hoover, as well as Stetson Hoover, her great-great-granddaughter.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, David F. Hoover; her father, Oakley Chadwell; her mother, Lou Willie Rivers Chadwell; and her sisters, Mary Griffin and Almyra Turley. The legacy of her love and the memories created will be cherished by those who survive her, a testament to the beautiful life she led.

Visitation will be held on April 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN 37064. Jim Taylor will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Frank, John, Barry, Daniel, Chad, Brandon Hoover and Will Crankshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest Griffin and Phil Griffin.  

Martha Lee Hoover's life was a beacon of love and devotion. She leaves behind a family that will continue to honor her memory and the values she represented.
