BASTIAN, Marvin Ray of Franklin, TN, age 86, passed away on October 3, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Nathaniel Adam & Mary Haynie Bastian; brother, Col. Haynie S. Bastian; and sister, Mary Louise Bastian. Survived by wife, Mary Ella Covington Bastian; son, Clay Covington Bastian of Snellville, GA; son, Dr. Sam (Tracey) Bastian of Franklin, TN; daughter, Edie (Eric) Emery of Franklin, TN; brother, Nate (Jean) Bastian of Sparta, TN; grandchildren, Matt, Tyler, & Isaac Emery and Kelsey, Alyssa, Alex, Savannah, & Bill Bastian; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10AM Monday, October 6, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Thomas Covington & Dan Covington officiating. Private family burial at Leipers Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-5PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
