Mr. Gerald Hassell

HASSELL, Mr. Gerald D., age 80 of Chapel Hill, TN. Passed from this life on August 10, 2013. A member of the Unionville Church of Christ. He was a Barber in Nashville for over 18 years. He later founded Hassell Disposal which he operated in Williamson County for 33 years before retiring. A veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid coon hunter since he was eight years old. He always enjoyed having conversations and meeting new people, he truly never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents, John B. and Abbie Peach Hassell; brothers, James A. and Fleming Hassell. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty J. Bryant Hassell; daughter, Vickie (Malachi) Johnson; brothers, Wayne (Barbara) Hassell and Don (Mary) Hassell; sister, Louise Eley; grandchildren, Courtney (Pat) Dusek, Amber Harmon, Rachel (Allen) Smithson; great grandchildren, Ryan Poole, Jessie and Patrick Dusek, Taylor, Nick, and Gracie Basso, Cheyenne and Delanie Smithson. Services will be conducted at 2:00PM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Larry Hames and Jerry Ladd officiating. Burial Williamson Memorial Gardens.
