CHAMBERLIN, Mr. Robert LaVerne, age 85 of Spring Hill, TN went home to be with the Lord November 14, 2009. Retired veteran of the US Navy with 26 years service as a Communications Traffic Analyst. Deacon at various churches and current member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. He was a talented musician, performed in a gospel quartet and played the saxophone. Devoted husband, father, brother and friend to all. Survived by: wife of 62 years, Elsie Chamberlin of Spring Hill, TN; daughters, Melody Duncan of Laramie, WY, Laura (Richard) Spach of Flint, MI and Denise (Bill) Schultz of Spring Hill, TN; sons, Robert (Jaymie) Chamberlin of Poway, CA and Timothy (Debra) Chamberlin of Millersville, MD; sister, Elizabeth Heimforth of Mariposa, CA; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Spring Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Rev. Billy Kimbrough officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
