BLACKBURN, Mrs. Alpha Derryberry, age 92 of Brentwood, TN, December 9, 2009. A long time resident of Williamson County; member of Millview Church of Christ and the J.O. Clay Senior Citizens; Owner & Operator for 30 years, 1948-1978, of Blackburn Grocery. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Richard Blackburn, Jr.; sisters, Robbie Wilhoite, Margaret Oakley, Tommie Lovell, Lorene Parrish & Mariellen McRae; brothers, James & Owen Derryberry. Survived by son, Charles Richard (Glenda) Blackburn III of Brentwood, TN; daughter, Judy Blackburn Alexander of Brentwood, TN; sister, Ann Wright of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Buddy (Tonya) Alexander, Casey (Sunni) Alexander, Erinn (Wade) Bushman & Amanda (Jason) Mayfield; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:30PM Friday, December 11, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ed Slayton officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie & Jimmy Derryberry, Hollis Williams, Buddy & Casey Alexander, Eddie Alsup, Roy and Murray Wilhoite. Memorials may be made to Millview Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.
