COOK, Mr. William Denton "Bill", age 82 passed away July 29, 2011 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born to the late Robert Park and Lottie Denton Cook and also preceded in death by nephew, Ray Marlin. Survived by: wife of 56 years, Tandy Culberson Cook; sons, Terry & Randy Cook; daughter, Kathy (Craig) Johnson; grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Cook, Josh Cook, Heather & Jessica Johnson; great granddaughter, Kaylee Renee Cooper & another great grandchild due in September; sister, Christine (Terry) Reed & niece, Mary (Tandy) Bruce. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lifelong member of First Baptist Church currently called The People's Church and a 50 year member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #7. Retired from American Airlines after 33 years where he worked in the Fleet Service Dept. After retirement, he loved gardening and spending time with his family & friends and watching "The Price Is Right". Bill was a kind and gentle Christian man who always had a kind word for everyone. He loved his church, family and his many friends and will forever be missed and remembered by all. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, August 1, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor & Ron Farmer officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Pete Langfitt, Ron Wilkins, Scott Cameron, Jerry Garner, Ron Tomlin, Tandy Bruce & James Graves. Honorary pallbearers, American Airlines Retirees, Men's Seeker Class of The People's Church, Ed Moody, Ralph Brown, Terry Reed, Harold Wheeley, Pete Flatt, Robert O'Kelley, Tom Beard & Jack Vaughn. Visitation will be 4-8PM Sunday and one hour prior to service on Monday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 615-794-2289 www.williamsonmemorial.com
