Novella Clabo Rauhuff Murray, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 24, 2026, in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born on January 10, 1931, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Over the course of her 95 years, she touched countless lives through her steadfast faith, loving heart, and servant's spirit.
Novella lived a life devoted to serving the Lord Jesus Christ and serving others. A gifted artist, poet, singer, seamstress, and homemaker, she expressed her faith through her many talents and through the love she poured into her family and everyone whose life she touched. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, kindness, creativity, and deep love for her family. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she demonstrated Christ's love each day through her compassion, generosity, and quiet service to those around her.
She spent her life as a homemaker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to raising her six children and creating a warm, loving home. She was an exceptional seamstress who lovingly made all of her children's clothes. Her remarkable talent extended even further as she handcrafted two of her daughters' wedding gowns, the grooms' suits, and bridesmaids' dresses, leaving a lasting legacy stitched with love and care.

An accomplished quilter, her beautiful quilts earned numerous awards at the state fairs, and her love for flowers and gardening brought beauty to every home she lived in.
Above all, Novella cherished her family. She was a wonderful cook who prepared every meal with love and found great joy in bringing her family together around the table. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her and in the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the assurance that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Until we meet again, Mom, thank you for showing us what it means to love the Lord, love your family, and faithfully serve others. Your example will continue to guide us, your love will remain in our hearts, and your faith will inspire future generations. We love you dearly and will miss you every day until we are together again in the presence of our Savior.
