Obituary

PEGGY MARIE CLARK MARTIN, born: 10/19/1944, in Giles County, TN and resided in Williamson County, TN She passed peacefully from this earth surrounded by family from an extended illness. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ernest Farris Martin, parents Daniel Archie & Gracie Margaret Bolton Clark both of Williamson County. Sisters: Linda Martin & Elizabeth Ford. Brothers, J.W. Clark, Dan Clark, Jesse Clark, Ray Clark, Larry “Shorty” Clark, Harold Dean Clark. Brother-in-law Wayne Martin and sister-in-law Sue Kelley. Survivors: include her Angels; daughters Roxanne Martin and Cindy (Joseph) Thoni of Franklin, Granddaughters Jacquelyne (Dave) Howard of LA, Lacey Thoni, and Shawna Thoni of Franklin and great grandson Vayden Thoni of Franklin, sister Sandra Alexander of SC and brother Cecil Clark of Franklin and sister-in-law Vera Tyner of Bolivar, TN, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a very creative, caring and giving person. Her many talents were playing guitar where she taught many in the family how to play and they all learned Wildwood Flower from her. All children in the family were well loved and spoiled rotten by her, and none heard the word NO often if at all. She could draw and paint landscape pictures as well. She was a retired beautician & beauty shop owner as well as over the road team truck driver with her husband Farris.

The family would like to thank Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro for the care, love and attention they have shown to Peggy and the family. Pall Bearers will be Tony Martin, Brian Martin, Keith Martin, Ben Young, Daniel Lamb, Jeff Pardue, Steve Ford and Tim Ford. 

Funeral Service will held Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 6-8 PM and on hour prior to service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
