Richard Lee Prendergast, age 78, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Williamson Medical Center. A native of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Richard Joseph Prendergast and the late Wanda Maxine Hauck Prendergast. He spent his career in law Enforcement, serving over 28 years in Federal State, County, and City levels. He was a member of the Morris Heithcock Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #41, and Hiram Masonic Lodge #7. He enjoyed riding horses. He was a Black Belt Karate instructor and taught many students in Karate throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Prendergast and his son, Jeffrie Prendergast.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Andy Wise Prendergast; sons, Richard, Steve (Rhonda), Brad, and Bo Prendergast; daughter, Jamie (Andy) Crumpler; brother, Steve Prendergast; Grandchildren, Caelab, Andrea, Daniel, Wyatt, Megan, Alli, Ethan, Kadi, and Adrian; great grandchildren, Emmie, Leo, Luke, and Hadley; several nieces and nephews; King of the Cowboys, Mike Walker.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family after 12 Noon on Friday.
