Robert "Bob" Lowell Walter

Robert “Bob” L. Walter died on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born on May 1, 1931 in Brownfield, IL. After serving in the Air Force, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University. He graduated from Cumberland Law School in Lebanon, TN where he was President of his class. It was there that he met Judith, his wife of 64 years. He was active in the Republican Party and the Williamson County Historical Society. In 1993 he retired from Allstate Insurance Company after many years as the Casualty Claims Manager in their Nashville office. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Anne Walter. Bob is survived by his wife, Judith Burton and daughter, Emily E. Walter. Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 7, 2025 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. The Reverend W.R. “Rusty” McCown will officiate. A graveside service will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens with military honors.
