Mrs. Sandra Winfield "Cyndy" Isenberger, age 70 of Franklin, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 3, 2014 after being diagnosed with cancer in December 2013.
Born in Dayton, OH. Graduated from Lewisburg (Tri-County) High School, Lewisburg, OH in 1961. Received her Registered Nursing Degrees from Springfield Community Hospital, Springfield, OH in 1964 and University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL in 1986. Her career began in doctors' offices and a home health agency in Dayton, OH. Since relocating to Franklin, TN in 1978, she held the position as Director of Nursing at a home health agency and a nursing home, both in Nashville, TN. She worked for twenty two years at Williamson Medical Center from July, 1985 to July, 2007. She retired as night shift supervisor.
In her earlier years she enjoyed get togethers with family and friends, playing cards, bowling and most of all raising her children. She looked forward to Friday night pizza and Saturday night, when possible, to see a local band. Cyndy was active in her children's activities. She was a cub scout leader and P.T.O. president. She was a collector of ink pens. Enjoyed vacations to North Carolina, Pensacola and Orange Beach with family and friends. She liked knitting, power naps, her computer, the Titans, Christian and country music. Took pleasure in reading the Bible and discussing with family and friends.
She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Cyndy loved nursing, especially in the ER. She was happy, optimistic, confident, resourceful and competent. Our family wishes to thank the medical professionals at Tennessee Oncology and Williamson Medical Center for their love and care during her stays. Special thanks to all the staff on fourth floor Oncology and Gwen Pullen for their understanding and compassion. We also want to thank our dear friends in Florida and our awesome neighbors for their prayers, thoughtfulness and acts of kindness during our time of grief.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Clarice Winfield. Survived by; husband of 49+ years, Austin "Ike" Isenberger, daughter, Angela (Mike) Hillard, sons, Douglas Isenberger, Darren (Maribeth) Isenberger; sister, Patricia (Frank) Stallman RN, grandchildren, Brittany and Cody Hillard, Ariel and Ethan Isenberger and Austin Lawson.
Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 PM, August 25, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gwen Pullen officiating. Inurnment Williamson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Calvary Chapel of Pensacola, 10460 Motley Court, Pensacola, FL 32514.
