Sandy Malone, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025.

Sandy leaves behind her two children Jeff Berrios (Christi) and Tracy Fulmer (David).

Her five grandchildren, Miranda Todd (Chris) Savannah Fulmer, Dalton Fulmer, Tyler Berrios, and Steven Berrios, and her great granddaughter Emory Todd. She is preceded in death by her three brothers Jim Lawhun, Jon Lawhun and Delbert Lawhun.

Sandy was born in Dayton, Ohio then moved to Florida at a young age. She graduated from Kathleen High School. She was a beautiful mermaid at Weeki Wachee Springs in Brooksville, Florida from June 1959- December 1960. She would perform daily with other mermaids underwater. She would use a bubbling air hose to take breaths when she needed it, which wasn’t often because they had amazing breath control.

After Weekie Wachee she became the Women’s Division gym instructor at The Arcade Athletic Club in Lakeland Florida.

She later married and had 2 children and was a home maker.

She was always very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives and so loved by them all.

She moved from Florida to Atlanta, GA and then moved to Franklin, TN where she has lived for the last 23 years.

After raising her children and having a few other jobs she went back to work at Publix Supermarkets, retiring after 25 years. She loved Publix and everyone who knew her knew that. She last worked at the Publix in Fieldstone Farms and when she was out and about in Franklin people would recognize her from their Publix. She loved that.

She loved her family, the beach, dancing and music. She will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
