Stephanie Askew Bergmeyer passed away too soon at her home on July 4th, 2026. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 3rd, 1983 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She attended Clemson University and Vanderbilt Law School.

She loved most of all her sweet daughter, Natalie. She also loved her family, friends and the practice of law. Especially dear to her were her friends from Clemson that had been with her for many years through the good times and bad. And the good friends she had made at the Attorney General’s office.

She loved music; her playlists were amazing. She loved humour; attending comedy shows or watching on line. But her favorite pastime was traveling with Natalie. They had been to England and France together in recent years and both enjoyed the history of the places they visited. They recently spent a long weekend in New York together!

She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Bergmeyer, parents Steve and Ronette Askew, sister, Marie (Jeremy) Trenhaile, and cousins Ava Trenhaile and Madeline Trenhaile

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love she leaves behind.She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1st at 2:00 PM. It will be held at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park in Franklin. 1368 Eastern Flank Circle.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your choice of charity or cause.
