William Thomas "Bill" Bagsby, Jr.

William Thomas “Bill” Bagsby, Jr., age 88 of Franklin, TN passed away August 11, 2026. Native of Williamson Co., TN and was a veteran of the Air National Guard of the US. He was a talented musician and played the guitar in a family band. They played for many square-dancing events and he had a passion for dancing. He retired from Ryder-PIE Trucking after 30+ years of service. Preceded in death by wife, Velma Louise Keys Bagsby; parents, William Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Childress Bagsby; sister, Harriett; son in law, Brad Rogers and brother in law, Rhoden Smith. Survived by: daughter, Pat Rogers; son, Michael (Carolyn) Bagsby; brothers, Rufus (Kay) Bagsby and Charlie (Jane) Bagsby; sisters, Lucy (Doug) Jones and Minnie Smith; grandchildren, Brianna (Chase Rumble) Rogers, Lauren (Blair) Miller, Kristin (Ian Anderson) Bagsby and Michael Jr. (Erica) Bagsby; great grandchildren, Adelyn Miller and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Gardens, Jim Taylor officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
