Carlene W. Anderson was born April 13th, 1949, in Willaimson County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Elisha Allen Cox and the late Velma Gladys Walton Cox. A vibrant and intelligent young lady, she dedicated her life to the medical field. Starting as Candy-striper at the young age of 15, she worked and bridged over to a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Old Williamson County Hospital. She stayed there until she turned 20. She married David Eugene Anderson in 1971. From there she found her true calling in geriatric medicine. She began working for Applewood Nursing home in Franklin, which eventually became NHC of Franklin. She won many awards and accolades throughout her career, including Infection Control Nurse of the year in 1990. She also won NHC Outstanding Nurse award several times.

She was a compassionate and caring person, who put her whole heart into caring for her patients, her co-workers, and her family. She Believed in the Lord God and gave her life to Jesus at an early age. She attended and was a member of Lawrence Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, James Thomas Cox, Joe Ridley Cox, Elisha Allen Cox, JR. And her sisters: Janice Faye McCord, and Marjorie Scales. And Son-in-Law Brett Imgenito.

She is survived by her Husband, David Eugene Anderson. They had 55 years together in Holy Matrimony and had 6 Children together; David Allen/ Dottie Anderson, Stephanie Ann/Michael Dyer, James Bonnie/Chrystal Anderson, Michael Paul Anderson, Misty Dawn Ingenito, and Christopher Lee/Charlotte Anderson. 

Visitation will be 11:00 Thursday July 23, 2026 until time of Funeral service at 1:00PM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Hershel Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbears.
